Energy Performance Certificates
As energy prices rise, buyers are increasingly concerned about a property’s energy efficiency and its impact on long-term living costs. No one wants to be cold or waste money on heating, and an EPC can be the difference between a click or a swipe when browsing listings.
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a legal requirement for selling or renting property in the UK. It provides essential information about the property’s energy use, environmental impact, and potential for improvement, helping buyers make informed decisions and assess the property’s suitability for their needs.
The EPC assessment process typically takes about an hour for an average-sized property. (Please see our Rate card for full details) The Domestic Energy Assessor will evaluate features like the property’s age, type, size, heat sources, and windows, surveying every room, including loft spaces where possible.
Our fully qualified photographers, who are also Domestic Energy Assessors, can conduct EPC assessments alongside our other services in one single visit. This approach saves time and minimizes disruption for vendors.
